Southeast Asia, a region consisting of 11 countries Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia,Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, and East Timor—has been inhabited for more than hundreds of thousands of years. Many prehistoric settlements are found scattered around the region.
