  1. Ban Ja Bo, Mae Hong Son

A hill tribe community on the top of a high mountain with a very beautiful view that offers mesmerizing homestays. The villagers here are very lovely and will make you want to come back here again. There are hundreds of well-managed homestays with warm and caring staff and provide full meals. You can climb the mountain to see the sunrise and a romantic sunset. 

 

One of the highlights here along with the stunning sea of mist is the hot noodles at Ban Ja Bo Noodle. Enjoy a hot meal while feeling the cool breeze. Another beautiful viewpoint that should not be missed is Phu Pha Mok. The atmosphere is good and you can see the whole village of Ban Ja Bo from a wide angle.

Many people have probably heard of the name ‘Pha Mi Village’ which is a village of Akha people, located on a mountain. It is also the place where King Rama IX used to visit, It became a tourist attraction that is known for agriculture and beautiful nature.

Anyone who loves the rainy season and the green rice fields will definitely fall in love with ‘Pa Bong Piang’. It is surrounded by the green rice fields of Chiang Mai. 

The vast green rice fields can be seen throughout the mountains and the slopes in a 360 degrees view.

The highlight here is the terraced rice fields which will be the most beautiful from July to October. In other seasons, the rice fields will yield different unique colors from green to golden yellow.

  1. Pha Hee Village, Chiang Rai

Pha Hee is a village located right by the Burmese border. The route can be quite steep so we suggest that you research the driving route thoroughly. The ambiance here is amazing and natural where you are surrounded by nature and mist.

You should not miss sleeping in a homestay and learn the way of life of the villagers. A beautiful sunset view is right in front of your doorstep. Then take a tour around the village to find a cool photo spot. 

There is a popular coffee shop called ‘Phu Pha Hee Coffee’ where you can sit on the balcony and hang your legs while sipping some coffee and enjoy the generous view. A very nice photo spot is on the balcony’s corner where the iconic green umbrella is located.

Noen Maprang Village’ is surrounded by towering mountains and was called another Guilin in Thailand. With this uniqueness, it can attract travelers to experience this charm. The way of life of the villagers here is mainly agriculture; easy and simple.

There are many viewpoints, beautiful stops, hills and caves. Therefore at sunset when the sun is leaving the horizon, it creates a contrast with nature hence creating a stunning view.
