An Old English style resort in the middle of the mountains of Ratchaburi Province. Its gable roofs and red brick walls remind us of Europe. The resort has a small garden that is surrounded by small creeks with carp fish and ducklings.

Khao Ngu Stone Park is another cool destination near Bangkok that is worth a visit. It is a stone park surrounded by mountains with many cool photo spots.

There is a beautiful lake in the middle of the valley with a stone Buddha statue as its highlight. You can jump on a rope and drop into the water. There is a cave that is an archeological site on the top of the mountain. There are also monkeys living around the area and you can feed them.

Phu Pha Pa Son is a famous restaurant in Ratchaburi that also has a camping ground that is surrounded by forests, mountains, and a reservoir.

The camping ground is divided into 3 zones. You can choose your own spot either under the shady pine trees or near the reservoir. You can cook your own meals while enjoying the beautiful views.

There are many activities to do such as riding a bike, fishing, and kayaking in the reservoir. There is also a public bathroom available.

Grand Canyon Ratchaburi is a landmark near Bangkok known for its canyons filled with emerald green waters. Some even say that its geography resembles that of the moon.

In the evening, when the golden sunlight hits the rocks, the canyon reminds us of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. There are 2 highlight photo spots here. First is the emerald pond surrounded by mountains. Second is the piled small rocks with a view of the pine trees.

Doi Mae Tho is a natural destination in Chiang Mai with endless savannah grasslands on the mountains. You can see the 360 degree view of the lands on top of the mountain. The location is best for camping, picnicking and breathing some fresh air.

During the rainy season, the green grass will contrast with the blue sky and white clouds creating a mesmerizing view. A sea of fog will also form and over the mountains hence giving you some cool breeze.

The best time to enjoy the view is around 6am-7am when the sun is rising and the fog is filling the hills.

  1. Mining Pine Forest, Prachuap Khiri Khan

Mining Pin Forest is located in Prachuap Khiri Khan and takes two hours from Hua Hin. It may seem a bit far, but the view is very worth it.

On the two sides of the road are tall pine trees making the area shady and relaxing. You can also hear some birds chirping along the way.

The best time to take a photo is either 7am or 5pm when it’s not too bright and the sunlight perfectly shines through the pine trees.

“Lhong 1919” is a popular landmark of Bangkok located by the Chao Praya River. The area is renovated from old docks and buildings by reserving the old unique Thai-Chinese designs that was built over 160 years ago.

The area offers shops and restaurants for you to explore and their walls are filled with Chinese wall paintings. There is also a shrine for you to pay respect to.

Phu Kao Ya or the Bald Hills are groups of small hills with no big trees to block your sight. The never ending hills are filled with only green grasses. Therefore, you can walk up to the hills and watch the surrounding nature.

During the drought, the grasses will turn yellow. During the rain, the grasses are green. Furthermore, you may see some fog as well. This is why this place is also known as ‘The Two Colors Hill’.

Ranong Canyon is located in the old mine on the mountain in Ranong. Its highlight is the clear water in the middle of the canyon. The water is so clear that it reflects the green trees and the blue sky making the water appear in an emerald green color.

The spot is very good for relaxation. In the morning, some steam comes up from the water and you can also watch the sunset in the evening.

Phu Lom Lo is the best place to see the Wild Himalayan Flowers or also known as Thailand’s Saukra. In the blooming season, the valley will be filled with the sweet pink colors of the flowers.

The blooming season is from the end of January until the beginning of February every year. The hills are very steep so you can not take your own car up there. There is a shuttle bus available for visitors.

This is an unseen spot in Songkhla province. Liwong is located in the old mines where pine trees are grown around the big pond making it one of the many beautiful spots in the province.

Even though the area is not big, Li Wong offers a lot of shades and wind which makes it popular for picnics and camping. You can see both sunset and sunrise here.

The contrasting sight of the mountains and trees that reflects on the water reminds us of a view in Switzerland. And that is why Li Wong is also known as the Switzerland of Songkhla.

“Alpaca Hill” is the biggest alpaca farm in Thailand. It is a good place for you to go on vacation with your family. The farm also has other animals as well.
