📍Raksawarin Hot Spring | Ranong Province
Ranong is renowned for its natural hot springs, rich in beneficial minerals. The most famous spot in the province is Raksawarin Hot Spring, which is easily accessible as it is located in the city of Ranong.
♨ The highlight of this hot spring is that it does not contain any sulfur, so there is no unpleasant odor, allowing you to soak comfortably. However, it is not suitable for drinking due to the high limestone content in the water.
Raksawarin Hot Spring is divided into three pools: the father Pool, which is the largest, the Mother Pool, and the Child Pool. However, the province has now added several hotter springs to make it easier for visitors to soak, all sourced from the same hot spring. The properties of the water remain unchanged. The hot springs in Ranong have been a classic tourist attraction known for centuries. The best time to soak in the hot springs for relaxation is after a long day of travel. The hot springs are open from 5 AM to 9 PM.
Visitors can soak their feet for free, but if you want to immerse your entire body, there is a fee of 40 baht per person. The atmosphere around the hot springs is filled with lush nature, and a stream flows through, enhancing the feeling of relaxation. If you visit Ranong and have enjoyed the beach until you’re tired, don’t forget to stop by #Raksawarin Hot Spring to unwind!

📍Koh Gam Tok, Laem Son National Park | Ranong Province
A small island compared to others, Koh Gam Tok serves as the hub for the Gam Islands’ tourism, housing the park ranger unit (Moo Koh Gam) and a visitor center. Its standout feature is the beautiful beaches on all three sides: the front side boasts the crescent-shaped Kaokwai Bay, the southern side features a long beach stretching to the island’s end, and the eastern side offers sandy shores that reach the island’s tip. The snorkeling area at the end provides a chance to explore shallow coral reefs, making it an enjoyable spot for tourists, despite the limited coral quantity.
🏞 Koh Gam Tok is centrally located among the Gam Islands. The island features a visitor center but does not offer accommodation; however, there are restrooms available for tourists. There is a freshwater source on the island, but during the dry season, it is prone to contamination with saltwater. In the past, the park allowed visitors to camp on the island, but due to issues with saltwater intrusion affecting the freshwater supply, overnight stays are no longer permitted. As a result, visitors can only enjoy day trips to the island.
🏞 Koh Gam Tok is a small island that is part of the ‘Gam Islands.’ It boasts the beauty of a crescent-shaped bay with soft, fine sandy beaches surrounded by clear seawater. From the viewpoint on the hill, you can see the expansive bay curving almost into a circle, resembling the shape of a buffalo. The long stretch of white sand, clear water, and gentle waves make it perfect for swimming. The area on the island is lush with large trees and seaside pines, providing a serene spot for tourists to relax and unwind. Additionally, there is a viewpoint accessible via a 100-meter walking path up the hill.

📍Grass Mountain | Ranong Province
Grass Mountain is another landmark before entering the city. The open green hills turn golden yellow during the dry season. When the monsoon winds calm down, the atmosphere changes with each season.
⛰ The highlight of Grass Mountain, also known as ‘Bald Mountain,’ is located in Hu Ngaw Subdistrict, Mueang Ranong District, Ranong Province. This area features low hills covered in grass, making it accessible for walking up. Each hill is connected by walking paths, and from the top, visitors can enjoy beautiful panoramic views. One unique feature that makes this spot popular for photography is the changing colors of the hills throughout the seasons.
During the rainy season, Grass Mountain transforms into a lush green wonder, showcasing its beauty. However, in the dry season, the grass turns a dry brown, and when the sunlight hits it, the entire mountain takes on a golden hue. This stunning transformation attracts tourists who come to capture beautiful photos, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of traveling abroad. It’s truly a hidden gem of nature that is rare to find and offers a wonderful, uplifting experience!

📍Kong Valley | Ranong Province
In a small, lush valley lies Kong Valley, a traditional hand-roasted Arabica coffee growing and production site. This community enterprise blends coffee to create a unique flavor in a serene atmosphere. Kong Valley is a community business that transforms hand-roasted coffee products and offers agricultural tourism. It provides knowledge and insights to visitors interested in coffee.
Kong, the owner, began focusing on coffee processing, from growing coffee plants to brewing the final cup. He learned the steps involved in making a cup of coffee, discovering that it doesn’t require high-end equipment. He started a hand-roasted coffee brand called “Kong Coffee,”
purchasing beans directly from farmers, who set their prices, ensuring high-quality coffee. The beans are sorted, roasted, ground, and packaged to meet standards.
☕️ The highlight of Kong Valley is the hand-roasting of every single coffee bean, preserving the unique aroma of Robusta. This makes the Robusta beans, often perceived as strong and bitter, develop a rich and balanced flavor. A must-try activity here is roasting coffee beans yourself using a small pan and a camping gas stove. Once roasted to perfection, the beans are ground with traditional tools, resulting in a fragrant cup of coffee. There is also homestay accommodation available for tourists looking to relax.
⏰ Opening Days/Hours: 08.00 – 18.00 hrs.

🏞 Thung Wua Laen Beach is a classic beach in Chumphon, stretching over 20 kilometers in the area of Pathiu. It boasts soft white sands perfect for swimming and serves as a central location for snorkeling in shallow waters. There are various accommodations available. From Thung Wua Laen Beach, you can travel 70 kilometers to Suwi District, heading towards Ban Ao Kram, where Dan Dome Homestay is located. This is a fishing community that has come together to manage
