Today, we’re excited to take you on a tour around the island, showcasing Attractions in Phuket that are filled with stories worth sharing, unique characteristics, great food, good accommodations, and a wonderful chance to give back to the environment and community. If you’re ready, let’s
go!
📍 Reun-Rom
A cozy cafe near the beach run by Uncle Tuk, a conservationist who loves surfing.
At first glance, you might not realize that this small house, surrounded by various green plants, vibrant vintage signage, and a spacious skateboard area, is a trendy cafe well-known among surf and skate enthusiasts. Reun-Rom (which translates to “slip and fall”) is both Uncle Tuk’s home and coffee shop. He transitioned from a passionate surfer to a conservationist, collecting beach litter and transforming it into art pieces that decorate his home before expanding into a cafe that
offers not only unique decor but also delicious beverages.
Enjoy a refreshing cold cocoa while admiring the walls and shelves filled with a diverse collection of items, from lunchboxes and cameras to dolls and guitars. Although each item is different, they are all arranged harmoniously, surprisingly many of them were once trash collected from the ocean. To the right of the cafe is a skating area frequented by professional skateboarders and
enthusiastic newcomers, some coming in groups while others arrive solo to hone their skills.
If you visit Phuket, don’t forget to stop by and try your hand at skateboarding, experiencing the “slip and fall” joy of the cafe’s name. If you’re interested in surfing in the sea, Uncle Tuk
sometimes organizes beach clean-up activities in exchange for surfing lessons!

📍The SIS Kata Resort
A cozy green retreat where you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets from your bed.
Located not far from Phuket town, head towards Kata Beach, drive up the hill, and turn left into a modern building adorned with unique patterns. The lobby is spacious and airy, offering a refreshing breeze. The open-air restaurant allows guests to enjoy breakfast outdoors while soaking in the morning sun, and for dinner, there’s a carefully crafted menu featuring charcoal-grilled “Jim Jum” (a Thai-style hot pot), redefining the notion that dining in hotels is not easily accessible.
One unforgettable aspect is the view from the rooms. Whether you’re traveling solo, with family, or as a couple, you can admire the stunning sunset from your balcony or bed. However, what truly impresses visitors is not only the beauty but also the effort that The SIS Kata Resort makes to protect the environment around the island. From waste segregation practices to eliminating plastic straws and using 70%-90% natural cleaning products that are friendly to both users and marine environments when released into the sea, they are committed to sustainability.
Additionally, the staff regularly collaborates with the community to clean up beach litter after the monsoon season, occurring 2-3 times a year, and invites tourists to join conservation activities. The management aims not just for short-term high profits but emphasizes the importance of long- term environmental sustainability for the business to thrive.
Phuket is just an island, but if waste accumulates, it could lead to a “mountain of trash.” Finding eco-friendly solutions is crucial, and if all hotels recognize and prioritize this issue, Phuket will see a significant reduction in waste.

📍Nong Nam Nai Harn Lagoon
A relaxing lakeside experience, where you can immerse yourself in the picturesque scenery enhanced by nature’s touch. 🏞 .
If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a picnic in nature, we recommend Nong Nain Harn Lagoon, a relaxing retreat that helps you escape the fast-paced world. Invite friends or
your partner to take a leisurely bike ride and enjoy the lush greenery surrounding the park.
These soothing sights offer the perfect respite from daily stress. What sets this park apart from others is its location by the serene Nai Harn Lagoon, a site where locals come to pay their respects. Visitors often take the opportunity to pray, make merit, and find peace before engaging in their evening exercises. Whether you prefer jogging or using the exercise equipment provided, the park has something for everyone. Not far from the park, you’ll find Nai Harn Beach, where you can relax and watch the sunset after your workout. The vibrant orange hues contrasting with the deep blue of the sea, accompanied by the sound of waves, help recharge your body and soul for the day ahead.
📍Elephant Wildlife Sanctuary
a forest spa that believes humans and elephants can live in harmony.
In the past, Thai people were accustomed to using elephants for work, but as times changed, those who raised elephants needed to find new ways to ensure that every elephant could live happily and healthily. This gave rise to the Elephant Wildlife Sanctuary, where visitors can engage in hands-on care for elephants from head to tail.
Visitors get the unique opportunity to feed the elephants, prepare herbal scrubs, perform mud spa treatments, and even give them aromatherapy oil massages. The experience extends to grooming their fur, nails, and tails. While wild elephants are naturally equipped to survive in the jungle, the elephants here have been raised with humans for generations. Releasing them into the wild would not work, as they lack survival instincts and might even face danger.
At Elephant Wildlife Sanctuary, staff aim to change the perception that raising elephants equals animal cruelty. Instead, they design programs that allow tourists and elephants to bond, promoting mutual understanding and ensuring the elephants are well cared for. It’s a business model that sustains both the welfare of the elephants and the operation itself. Trying your hand at making herbal mixtures, applying mud, bathing, and scrubbing the elephants together creates a heartwarming connection between the two species—a must-try experience.
