✨ Bangkok Art & Culture Centre
The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) project began in 1994 when a group of contemporary artists in Thailand held exhibitions at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Their goal was to demonstrate that there were enough artists to warrant the establishment of an “art gallery” 🏛 as a space to showcase and preserve past works and history. It serves as a gathering place for artists to meet, exchange ideas, and contribute to the development of the art scene in our country.
🏛 The building is designed in a cylindrical shape, standing 9 stories tall, with a distinctive architectural appearance. It has a total area of 25,000 square meters, divided into exhibition halls, a cinema, a library, storage for artworks, meeting rooms, shops, and restaurants. From the 6th floor onward, there are sloping walkways that wind up through the cylindrical structure of the building, making for stunning photos.
🖼 The exhibitions focus on rotating displays of works by various artists and collaborations with art organizations from many countries. Additionally, there are diverse art activities, including music, poetry, theater, film, discussions, and literature, aimed at expanding new perspectives for learning, fostering intellectual growth, emotional well-being, and enhancing other learning potentials. This holiday, invite your friends to seek inspiration and spend your free time in a relaxed manner.

For art lovers and enthusiasts, you can’t miss this! Another place that showcases beautiful and high-quality works from national artists is ‘MOCA Bangkok’ #MuseumofContemporaryArt, which stems from a passion for art that demonstrates the exquisite and meticulous abilities of Thai artists. It also pays tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who had a remarkable talent in art, and honors Professor Silpa Bhirasri, the ‘father of contemporary Thai art.’ 🌟
MOCA Bangkok aims to promote a thriving ‘art community’ in Thailand, ensuring that it can stand alongside international standards. The exhibitions tell stories of contemporary events in our country over various periods, including traditions, cultural beliefs, and the way of life of Thai society, blending techniques influenced by the West while emphasizing works that evoke dreams and imagination.
🏛 The building features five floors of exhibitions:
Ground Floor (G): Home to the ‘Permanent Exhibition Hall,’ showcasing sculptures by national artists, and the ‘Permanent Exhibition Hall of Painting’ by Professor Chalood Nimsamer.
Second Floor: Dedicated to the ‘Permanent Exhibition of Contemporary Thai Art,’ organized by different eras from generation to generation.
