The legend of “Ai Khai” has many versions. One says that Ai Khai is the spirit of a child who followed Luang Phor Thuat when he came to this abandoned temple for meditation. This spirit was tasked with guarding and protecting the temple’s treasures. Another version tells of a child who used to play in the temple but tragically drowned. The child’s spirit became bound to the temple, residing there ever since.

An important historical site in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, due to the discovery of numerous ancient artifacts within the cave, is also known for its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Additionally, the cave features a waterfall inside. The cave under the mountain is currently known as #ThamNamWangSrithammasokraj, a newly opened tourist destination that has recently begun welcoming visitors.
Some of the ancient artifacts discovered within the cave are on display at the Khun Thale Subdistrict Museum, located near the Ta Khun Phol Pavilion or the General Maeng Kraipolkan Monument (Ta Khun Phol), the commander of King Srithammasokraj. This pavilion is not far from the entrance to Tham Nam Wang Srithammasokraj.
This cave is 4,444 meters deep, with stairs leading up to its mouth. Visitors then must descend into the cave. Initially, there was a metal bridge built for tourists to walk in and admire the shimmering stalactites and stalagmites when illuminated by lights ✨.

The wetlands in #Khao Nor Chuchi Non-Hunting Area are divided into five types: Peat Forest – Characterized by the prominent Semed tree, this area serves as a nesting ground for large waterbirds such as the Red Stork and the Purple Swamphen.
