Prachuap Khiri Khan is one of the closest provinces to Bangkok, filled with diverse tourist spots, including beaches, mountains, aquariums, beautiful temples, and walking streets. 📍 Phra Mahathat Chedi Pakdee Pakkad

✨ The highlight of Wat Thang Sai is the Phra Mahathat Chedi Pakdee Pakkad, a magnificent chedi named King Rama IX. This structure represents Thai architecture during the Rattanakosin period and was built from the faith of local people without using government funds. It was specifically constructed to honor the king and commemorate the 50th anniversary of his reign. This bell-shaped chedi sits on a square base, featuring a five-story building symbolizing the 50 years of reign or the five aggregates (Khandha), and includes a group of nine chedis representing the temples of the ninth reign.
Moreover, from the base of the Phra Mahathat Chedi Pakdee Pakkad, you can enjoy a stunning elevated view of Ban Kruad Beach, showcasing one of the most beautiful seaside panoramas in Prachuap Khiri Khan 🌊.
Inside the Phra Mahathat Chedi Pakdee Pakkad, there are five important levels:

✨ Level 3: A hall housing four Buddha statues in the standing posture.

Let’s explore a hidden gem in Prachuap Khiri Khan: the beautiful and tranquil Ao Bo Thong Lang. This small bay is located in the Mae Ramphueng sub-district of Bang Saphan District.
✨ The highlight of Ao Bo Thong Lang is its crescent-shaped beach, which almost forms a circle. The soft white sand beach is exposed when the tide goes out, making it perfect for swimming. This spot attracts tourists looking to relax and play in the shallow waters, which are not too deep. There is also a rocky island in the middle of the bay.
🏞 Since this is a bay surrounded by rocks, the waves are calm, allowing for easy access to the water and leisurely strolls along the beach. Along the beach, there are shops and restaurants to cater to visitors. Ao Bo Thong Lang is still relatively unknown, making it a peaceful retreat with its stunningly curved bay, clear waters, and a relaxing atmosphere—perfect for enjoying a meal by the beach while feeling the gentle breeze. Another highlight is the opportunity to walk to a nearby beach on the opposite side, reminiscent of walking through a sandbar, offering views just as beautiful as those in southern Thailand 🏞. 📍 Pine Forest at Mine
In addition to the popular district of Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan is home to many beautiful Unseen places, such as the Pine Forest at Ban Mueang Rai located in the Thap Sakae district, about 2 hours away from Hua Hin. This scenic road is lined with tall pine trees on both sides for approximately 1 kilometer 🌲. If you love nature and want to capture stunning photos that feel like you’re abroad, this place is sure to impress!
🌲 The pine forest is situated in Ban Mueang Rai, a small village with a handful of residents. This road is frequently used by locals for travel. Upon arrival, you can park your car within the pine forest, where there is enough space for parking.
🌲 Both sides of the road are shaded by towering pines, with some sections being straight and others curving, creating a picturesque and unique view perfect for photography. The interplay of sunlight filtering through the pine trees adds to the beauty. You can visit any time but be cautious when standing in the road for photos, as it serves as a thoroughfare for local traffic, including both large and small vehicles.
Additionally, there’s another attraction just under 2 kilometers away: the Grand Canyon at Ban Mueang Rai. This site features piles of earth, stones, and gravel from historical mining activities, standing about 10 meters high with beautiful patterns. The “Pine Forest at Ban Mueang Rai” is another uniquely beautiful location worth checking in at. Moreover, the Thap Sakae district offers many other stunning attractions, including Thap Sakae Beach, Ko Jan, Wooden Palm Church, and Chong Lom Reservoir. 📍 Kui Buri National Park
Explore the natural beauty of a UNESCO World Heritage site and witness Thailand’s wildlife, such as hornbills, red bulls, deer, bears, sambar, tigers, gibbons, monkeys, and langurs at Kui Buri National Park. This park spans four districts in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, including Pran Buri, Sam Roi Yot, Kui Buri, and Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan. The park features a complex range of mountains ⛰ and is part of the Tenasserim mountain range, with a mix of dry evergreen and moist evergreen forests teeming with rich natural resources, including various economically valuable plant species.
✨ One of the highlights here is the opportunity to observe various wildlife species, especially elephants that come in herds or wild buffalo, which are sure to amaze visitors. Kui Buri National Park is a conservation area of the Kaeng Krachan forest complex and has been designated by UNESCO as Thailand’s third natural World Heritage site ✨. The park is renowned for wildlife watching, but this must be done within designated wildlife viewing areas prepared by the staff.
🍃 For those who wish to study nature, there are walking trails along the “Chantana Tree” path, which is a semi-circular route that allows you to learn about the fragrant wood used in royal cremation ceremonies for HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana, the late Princess of Narathiwat, and HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The trail is approximately 300 meters long and takes about half an hour to explore.
Visitors can also participate in community activities, such as creating artificial salt licks for wildlife and elephants. In addition, you can visit beautiful waterfalls like Dong Ma Fai, Phak Ma Hoon, Dan Ma Kha, and Pha Sawan. For those wanting to stay overnight, the park offers lodges and tents for rent 🏕.

Invite your friends for a drive to relax close to Bangkok! We recommend heading to Thung Sam Roi Yot Lotus Marsh for some beautiful photo opportunities set in a romantic atmosphere. If you visit during the blooming season, you’ll find the water covered with vibrant red lotuses, and it’s not just one variety—you’ll see Nymphaea (sacred lotus), Nymphaea rubra (red water lily), Nymphaea cerulea(blue water lily), and Nymphaea stellata (star lotus). Taking pictures on the wooden bridge amidst the lotuses is a must-do, as it offers stunning views! You can also take a boat ride to enjoy the scenery at Thung Sam Roi Yot.
✨ The highlight of Thung Sam Roi Yot Lotus Marsh is that it is part of Sam Roi Yot National Park and is a naturally occurring wetland with extensive floodplain that contains freshwater and brackish water year-round. This area boasts rich biodiversity, including various plant and animal species.
The marsh is home to over 316 species of birds, including resident and migratory species such as the painted stork, red duck, grey-headed swamphen, white-browed crake, and black-crowned night heron. It is a must-visit birdwatching spot for enthusiasts 🕊. At the foothills, there is the Thung Sam Roi Yot Nature Study Center with walking trails to explore aquatic plant species on wooden bridges.

📍 Sirinart Rajini Mangrove Ecosystem Learning Center
When talking about Prachuap Khiri Khan, many people may think of sandy beaches, delicious fresh seafood, and beautiful resorts. However, besides these attractions, Prachuap Khiri Khan is also known as a significant city of “mangrove forests” in Thailand. The Sirinat Rajini Mangrove Ecosystem Learning Center is the first mangrove restoration learning center from abandoned shrimp farms in Thailand. It is located in the Khlong Khao-Klong Khoi National Reserved Forest area, Pak Nam Pran sub-district, Pranburi District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
Over ten years ago, this area was entirely shrimp farms without any greenery, but it has now transformed into a green space. The PTT Public Company Limited participated in the project to plant mangroves to restore the environmental condition and subsequently developed it into a mangrove ecosystem learning center.
The Sirinat Rajini Mangrove Ecosystem Learning Center features a shady walkway to explore the mangrove forest, divided into the following zones:
🍃 Royal Commemoration Building and Visitor Service Zone: This area provides services for tourists.
🍃 Natural Trail Route Zone: This consists of pavilions and nature study walking paths.
🍃 Education Zone: Visitors can explore nature study trails. If visiting as a group, prior arrangements are necessary. However, families or groups of friends can stroll through the area independently. Along the trail, informative signs provide knowledge about mangrove forests.
🕊🐟 During your walk, you can spot birds, crabs, fish, and large mudskippers. The natural environment here is highly abundant. For those who want a full view of the mangrove forest, you can climb up to the “Chakram Tower,” or observation tower, which provides a complete view of the forest. Additionally, during the wet season, you can kayak through the mangrove forest.
