As part of the Mae Sa-Kok Ma Biosphere Reserve, designated by UNESCO in 1977, Khun Khan National Park is expected to become a secondary tourist destination that helps distribute and reduce the density of visitors from the main city of Chiang Mai in the future, as it is not far from the city center.
⛰ The highlights of the park include its lush and rich forests, which offer numerous natural attractions, starting from various waterfalls such as Mae Napha Waterfall, Huai Tad Waterfall, Huai Hom Waterfall, and Amlong Waterfall, as well as natural hot springs. ♨
Notable sites include the natural hot springs located at the park office, with water temperatures reaching approximately 38 degrees Celsius, and the Tham Luang Mae Sab, filled with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, with cave walls adorned with stunning and unique natural patterns. ✨ This cave is also home to thousands of bats. 🦇 Khun Khan National Park features a visitor center with nature study trails, camping facilities for tourists, and staff available to provide assistance at all times.

It is a site rich in the history of prolonged battles, and remnants of past structures have been preserved. The climate of Phu Hin Rong Kla is cold almost throughout the year. ⛰️Pha Hin Ngam National Park – Chaiyaphum
Enjoy the lush nature surrounded by numerous mountains, green forests, and cool weather at Pha Hin Ngam National Park, located in the Pang Hya Mountain range within the areas of Thep Sathit District and Sap Yai District. The terrain is complex and hilly ⛰ and serves as the source of water for the Chi River and the Pasak River, featuring an intact forest cover of dry dipterocarp forest, dry evergreen forest, and mixed deciduous forest 🌳.
🌸 The Field of Siam Tulip (Krachai Flower) or “Queen of the Mountains” is a perennial herbaceous plant related to ginger and galangal. It spreads from Pha Hin Ngam to the viewpoint at the Land’s End, covering a distance of over 1 kilometer. The best time to visit and admire the beauty of the Siam tulips is during the rainy season, from June to August each year. Three species of Siam tulips have been discovered blooming in the park: the Pattumma, Krachai Din, and Krachai Khao.
Pha Hin Ngam is an area featuring large, uniquely shaped boulders spread over more than 10 rai (approximately 4 acres). These boulders formed naturally due to the erosion of soil and rocks in loosely bound areas. Over time, this resulted in boulders with different appearances. The Pha Hin Ngam site is located to the west of the national park headquarters and can be easily accessed by car.
Noh Stone Field is situated to the south of the park headquarters, near Wat Khao Pratu Chumphon. This flat stone area covers approximately 200 rai and consists of stone pillars and sandstone walls that are about 100 million years old. Nearby, there are also Siam tulips, Nepenthes (pitcher plants), and Dewdrop plants scattered around.
Additionally, the park offers many other interesting attractions, and for those wanting to soak in the atmosphere at Pha Hin Ngam National Park, there are accommodations and camping facilities available for tourists 🏕.

⛰️Khao Sok National Park – Surat Thani
Khao Sok National Park offers a variety of attractions, including nature trails. The park has five different nature trails, each showcasing its unique natural beauty and featuring endemic plants found only within Khao Sok National Park, such as Kao Sok Sedge, Tian Sirindhorn, and the famous Giant Water Lily, which is the largest flower in the world.
🛶 A popular activity among tourists is boating on Ratchaprapha Dam, highlighted by the Three Brothers Mountain ⛰, known as the “Guilin of Thailand.” Visitors can also stay on floating rafts, with the park offering four floating rafts, each providing various recreational activities such as kayaking, SUP boarding, coffee tasting, and bamboo rafting.
One of the favored attractions in Khao Sok National Park is the Upper Ratchaprapha Dam, a multipurpose dam built to generate electricity. The dam, constructed from earth and rock fill with a clay core, stands 95 meters high and stretches 700 meters long, with its crest elevation at 100 meters. It features over 100 islands, and tourists enjoy cruising the scenic views of the limestone mountains surrounded by water 🏞, earning it the nickname “Guilin of Thailand.”
The Giant Water Lily, the largest flower in the world, resembles a large bowl surrounded by five large red petals. It primarily grows in well-preserved forests at relatively high altitudes, taking 8-9 months to bloom, but remains in bloom for only 4-5 days, typically from November to April.
The Khom Daab Viewpoint is a small viewpoint offering breathtaking scenery of the lake above Ratchaprapha Dam from a high angle—definitely an unseen gem 🌅.
Tung Nam is a mountain eroded by water, resulting in a cliff facing one another with the Sok River flowing beneath, creating deep pools abundant with fish. To visit this area, a local guide is necessary, and it is accessible year-round.
Tharn Sawank Waterfall is a medium-sized waterfall, over 70 meters high, surrounded by lush vegetation, with water cascading down steep cliffs creating a rainbow-like arch 💦🌈.
The Sanya Roi Nature Trail is a trail through moist evergreen forest, featuring uphill and downhill paths that pass-through streams and lush forests. It takes about 1-2 hours to hike, starting at the visitor center of Khao Sok National Park 🍃.
And this is just a glimpse of the attractions in Khao Sok National Park that we’ve highlighted. The park has many more exciting places waiting to welcome visitors!
