📌Sub Tai Stem Camp Khao Yai #Nakhon Ratchasima
The Sub Tai STEM Camp Khao Yai is located in a reforested area previously encroached upon, adjacent to the boundary of Khao Yai National Park. The lush surroundings benefit from the park’s natural abundance, making it an ideal place for both short and long-term stays, away from pollution in both air and water. The reforested area helps prevent soil erosion and does not obstruct natural water flow, meaning there are no risks of flash floods or landslides.
The camp offers both accommodation and food services, along with a variety of activities that are perfect for students. These activities focus on education and provide experiences beyond what can be learned in a traditional classroom setting. Students have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, interacting with nature in and around the camp. The curriculum combines knowledge from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), aligning with lessons taught in classrooms, and is supported by the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST).
🍃 Activities at the camp include studying nature both day and night, learning about birds and butterflies, exploring the journey of flora, discovering the secrets of treetops, treasure hunts, learning about directions and maps, water-based activities like whale predation, stargazing, and observing nocturnal insects. Other engaging experiences include traditional Thai cooking activities such as grilling “khao jee” (sticky rice cakes) and “khao kriab wow” (crispy rice crackers), and engineering challenges like launching water bottle rockets, among many others.
