The Tai Lue Sri Don Chai Community is renowned for its unique cultural identity, language, traditional attire, and handwoven Tai Lue textiles, which feature “Pha Lai Nam Lhai” or flowing water patterns, showcasing ancient wisdom. The Wat Tha Kham Sri Don Chai temple is home to the Southeast Asian Tai Lue Textiles Museum and the Tai Lue Cultural Center. Additionally, the Tai Lue Woven Fabric Group Kru Dokkaew, led by SACICT (The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand) 2014 Master Craftsmen Dokkaew Theerakhot, offers knowledge in natural dyeing. The Tai Lue Way of Life Museum exhibits everyday items and traditional house architecture, while the Lue Lai Kham Museum showcases Tai Lue costume and culture. The century-old Tai Lue house ‘Heuan Auey Kham’ is the only remaining ancient Tai Lue house in Chiang Rai province.
