The Khao Cha-Ngum Royal Study Center for Land Degradation originated from the initiatives of King Rama IX and continues under King Rama X’s reign. It functions as a comprehensive hub for education, experimentation, research, and showcasing successful outcomes derived from studies. The center operates as a living natural museum, providing both theoretical and practical learning experiences. It serves as a platform where agricultural researchers, tourists, and the general public can share their knowledge. Covering diverse knowledge areas, the center focuses on soil development, water resource enhancement, forestry, environmental conservation, career development, and the principles of King Rama IX’s sustainable practices and a self-sufficient economy.
