Regional Observatory for the Public, Songkhla is located on Elephant Mountain, offering a panoramic viewpoint where visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Songkhla Lake and the Gulf of Thailand. It is a center for astronomy and science education for the general public, featuring a 10-meter full-dome digital planetarium with 25 million pixels, a 0.7-meter reflecting telescope, and interactive science exhibits for all ages. The observatory promotes learning, inspires creativity, and fosters environmental awareness, linking science with sustainable development for future learning.
Stargazing Activities (NARIT Public Night) Every Saturday
Interactive Science and Astronomy Exhibits – Fun and easy to understand, focusing on hands-on learning. The exhibits incorporate the concept of “Astronomy for Sustainability,” such as the impact of light pollution on the night sky, clean energy, and the rhythms of Earth in the cosmic ecosystem.
