The museum features the largest display of petrified wood in Southeast Asia, an extraordinary geological record that dates back millions of years. Each petrified log is carefully preserved and presented in a naturalistic exhibition setting, allowing visitors to vividly imagine the ancient prehistoric environment in which these trees once thrived. In addition to the petrified wood, the museum also showcases fossils of various species of prehistoric elephants, some of which date back hundreds of thousands of years. These include specimens of Stegodon and other extinct elephant species that once roamed the land now known as Thailand. The exhibition also includes fossils of dinosaurs that once inhabited northeastern Thailand. A highlight of this section is the life-sized dinosaur replicas, which captivate visitors of all ages and bring the distant past to life in an exciting and immersive way.
