Mae Wong National Park

One of the most abundant and beautiful national parks in Thailand, Mae Wong National Park is located in the provinces of Kamphaeng Phet and Nakhon Sawan. The park is the source of several rivers and features a diverse ecosystem, including moist evergreen forest, dry evergreen forest, and mixed deciduous forest. Wildlife found here includes tigers, gaur, barking deer, deer, and a wide variety of birds. Additionally, it is an important bird watching site with over 450 bird species.

Activity

  • Nature trails, forest walks, waterfall visits, plant viewing, bird and butterfly watching, stargazing, camping, cycling, and mountain biking.
  • Forest Hiking: The nature trails offer a variety of routes suitable for adventure lovers and those interested in studying nature.
  • Camping: There are designated camping areas such as Kaeng Pha Nang Khoi and Chong Yen camping grounds.
  • Scenic Viewpoints: Popular viewpoints like Kiw Krathing and Khun Nam Yen provide beautiful scenery, ideal for watching the sunrise and sea of mist.
