Lamtakong Jolabha Vadhana Power Plant

The first and only underground power plant in Thailand, as well as the first pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant in Thailand. A highlight of this site is the “Underground City,” where visitors can experience a tour of the underground power plant located more than 350 meters below the surface, traveling through tunnels on an eco-friendly EV bus. Inside, there are exhibits explaining the pumped-storage hydroelectric power generation process, capable of producing up to 1,000 megawatts of electricity. Additionally, visitors can go up to the “Sky City” at the upper reservoir of the power plant, which offers a scenic viewpoint overlooking 12 beautifully arranged wind turbines on the mountaintop. Visitors can enjoy cycling along panoramic 360-degree views, breathe in the fresh air, and watch stunning sunsets.
